Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th everybody! I am still in Chicago for our friends Kristen and John's wedding. Not quite sure what is going to happen (which I love by the way), but I am hoping that there are some fireworks in my future. The girls are at my parents and they have a fun filled day of parades, picnics, and maybe fireworks if the girls can stay up that late. Independence Day is one of my favorite holiday's and although I am having a great time in Chicago a little part of me is sad that we are not back home for the Centerville for the Americana Festival but there is always next year.

What do you like to do for the 4th?

I'm a Guest!

I am off to Chicago for a wedding and.......I'm going as a guest!!! I love weddings (obviously) and although I love my job, I love attending weddings as a guest even more. What is even better is that Matt and I will be getting a weekend away without the girls.

Chicago is a great city and I am looking forward to doing some touristy stuff too. Matt is a groomsman so I will have all morning on Saturday to visit Navy Pier and get in some shopping on Michigan Ave. I am also hoping to get in a nice run down on the shore line of Lake Michigan. And maybe, if I am feeling brave, I will even check out the glass balcony on the Sears Tower (or maybe not).

But the best part of it all is that John and Kristen are getting married. They are long time friends of ours and we are so happy for them.

Welcome Heidi and Geoff

A big welcome to Heidi and Geoff who have just joined the KL Wedding Designs LLC family. Heidi and Geoff will say their "i-do's" on December 20th, 2009 in Kettering OH. The ceremony will take place at Christ United Methodist Church (which just happens to be my church) and the reception at NCR Country Club.

So happy to have you guys with us!

Again, I love the use of Baby's Breath as the main flower for the event - it has such a dreamy feel about it and was a great addition to creating the atmosphere of this beautiful wedding.

I saw this post at Wedding Bee today and was reminded how much I loved the look of clusteres of Baby's Breath. There is something so fresh and airy (not to mention cost effective) about this bouquet.
